Hyundai has unveiled the 2021 Elantra in the N Line avatar. The Elantra N Line will be Hyundai’s first N Line sedan, after the i30 and Veloster. The Elantra N Line is powered by a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor, that can be paired either with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The tiny motor managed to put 198bhp and 264Nm.

Hyundai hasn’t revealed the performance figures as of yet, but we expect it to hit 100kmph in under 8 seconds.

Prominent wheel arches and side skirts set the Elantra N Line apart from the regular car

But its not only about the engine. The addition of N Line equates to Hyundai a stiffer, multi-link suspension for improved handling. The N Line will also come with 18-inch wheels and larger front discs. Inside the Elantra N Line, you can have paddle shifters, leather sports seats and a perforated leather steering wheel as well.

The car also comes loaded with many driver assist features including lane assist, high beam assist and blind spot collision avoidance. Next in line after the Elantra N Line, is the Sonata N Line, which will be powered by a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol.

Leather bucket seats, as is the industry standard for performance sedans.

The design team has worked toward a sporty yet sophisticated look for the Elantra N Line to go with its sporty character. This is achieved with sporty side skirts, an integrated spoiler, twin chrome exhausts and a N Line specific rear diffuser.

The rear features an integrated spoiler and new diffuser

The company also said that it will launch the Elantra Hybrid Electric in the third quarter of this year. It will be powered by a 1.6-litre GDI 4-pot Atkinson-cycle engine, paired with a 32KW electric motor.

We hope Hyundai brings the updated Elantra to India, if not the N Line variant in the future.
