Aston Martin has launched its DBS Superleggera replacement, the new Vanquish. It will go up against the Ferrari 12Cilindri. At a time when V12s are being shelved, it's refreshing to see Aston Martin stick to their guns.
2025 Aston Martin Vanquish Powertrain
The Vanquish will be powered by a 5.2 V12 Twin-Turbo engine, producing 824bhp and 1000Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox. This propels the car from 0-100kmph in 3.3 seconds and will reach a top speed of 344kmph. The Vanquish has the highest specific output in a road car in the brand’s history with the V12 engine delivering 158bhp/litre. New fuel injectors with a 10% higher flow rate and new reduced inertia turbochargers with a higher maximum speed (+15%) contribute to the increase in performance. The car comes standard with a rear limited slip differential (e-diff). This e-diff is also paired with an electronic stability programme (ESP) allowing wheel slip to be managed at the rear axle, ensuring optimum traction in all conditions.
2025 Aston Martin Vanquish Suspension, Brakes and Tyres
The braking duties on the Vanquish are handled by Carbon Ceramic Brakes, which consist of 410mm discs on the front axle and 360mm discs on the rear. The Carbon Ceramic Brakes offer increased braking performance, reduced brake fade at temperatures up to 800°C and a significant reduction in unsprung weight, 27kgs reduction as compared to cast iron brakes. The Vanquish also comes standard with new Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers and 21” forged alloy wheels wrapped in bespoke Pirelli P ZERO tyres.
2025 Aston Martin Vanquish Interiors
The Vanquish sports all-new interiors that is a far departure from the Mercedes Benz-sourced infotainment system. The Vanquish gets a fully digital 10.25” TFT driver display and 10.25” Pure Black touchscreen system with full online connectivity, integrated with a more driver-focussed centre console. It features full capacitive single and multi-finger gesture control. The car supports Wireless Apple CarPlay. The Vanquish comes standard with a 15-speaker, double amplified, Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, as standard. The Vanquish also comes with a full-length panoramic glass roof and Sports Plus Seat as standard and a carbon fibre Performance Seat will be available as an option.
