Today Volkswagen India announced the addition of a new Comfortline TSI AT variant for the Polo. The Comfortline TSI AT is powered by VW’s 1-litre TSI engine churning out 108.5 bhp and 175 Nm of torque and is mated with a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Prices start at Rs 8.51 lakh for non-metallic colours while metallic ones will set you back Rs 10,000 more. This pricing makes the automatic Polo more accessible to enthusiasts whose budgets didn’t fit the Highline Plus AT which is priced at Rs 9.6 lakh ex-showroom. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said the new trim-line in Polo family will give ‘fun-to-drive experience’ to their ‘discerning customers’ in India.
In addition to the automatic transmission, the Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI AT gets a couple of extra features, one of them is automatic climate control and the other is that it gets a 6.9-inch Blaupunkt music system. Aside from these changes, the Comfortline TSI AT is cosmetically identical to the standard Comfortline TSI variant.
The Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI AT will be available in Flash Red, Sunset Red, Candy White, Reflex Silver, and Carbon Steel and bookings are open via Volkswagen India’s website or through its dealerships.
