Volkswagen India, at its Annual Brand Conference, announced a series of exciting new developments aimed at reinvigorating its product lineup and enhancing customer experience in the Indian market. The conference unveiled new variants and line structures for the Taigun SUV, along with a bold step towards electrification with the introduction of the ID.4

Refreshed line-up

The Volkswagen Taigun will now be available under three distinct trim plans: ‘GT Edge’, ‘Chrome’, and ‘Sport’. Each trim offers unique design personas catering to diverse customer preferences, ensuring visual differentiation and appeal for every taste.

The GT Edge trim plan offers the Edge Collection, featuring Matte and Black exterior colour options. The Taigun Trail Edition is also a part of the GT Edge trim plan. As before, all the GT Edge variants come with the 1.5-litre TSI paired with either a 7-speed DSG or the 6-speed manual gearbox.

Under the Chrome line, customers have the option to choose between two engine options: the 1.5-litre TSI with either 7-speed DSG or 6-speed manual transmission, or the 1.0-litre TSI with 6-speed automatic and manual transmission. VW says this trim caters to those seeking a balance between performance and convenience.

The Sport line includes the new GT Plus Sport variant, featuring the 1.5-litre TSI engine with 7-speed DSG and 6-speed manual transmission, and the GT Line variant, equipped with the 1.0-litre TSI engine with 6-speed automatic and manual transmission options. This trim emphasises a sporty aesthetic and driving experience.
