TVS Apache RR 310 design and features

The design of the new Apache RR 310 is rather similar to before but now gets aerodynamic winglets that add 3kg of downforce and a anti-fog, clear clutch cover. It has also got a new ‘Bomber Grey’ paint scheme.

In terms of feature upgrades, it gets cruise control, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and an RT-DSC (Race Tuned Dynamic Stability Control), offering a safety package with cornering ABS, cornering traction control, cornering cruise control, rear lift-off control, slope-dependent control and wheelie control. This suite is supported by a 6D IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) that ensures better control over different riding modes – Track, Sport, Urban, and Rain.

TVS Apache RR 310 powertrain and chassis

At the heart of the new Apache RR 310 is the same 312cc single-cylinder engine as before but it has got several upgrades. With the help of a lighter piston, a larger airbox, and an upgraded air intake system, it now produces 37.4bhp at 9800rpm (11 per cent more than before) and 29Nm of torque at 7900rpm. TVS claims that the bike is now 0.43 seconds faster from 0 to 100kmph.

Mated to this engine is a bi-directional quickshifter. The adjustable suspension with the Dynamic kit includes preload, compression and rebound damping adjustment on the front suspension and preload, rebound damping on the rear monoshock.

The Dynamic kit includes adjustable suspension, TPMS and a brass-coated chain. The Dynamic Pro kit features the RT-DSC.

The new Apache RR 310 comes in two standard variants – Racing Red with and without the quickshifter – and is priced at Rs 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model and Rs 2.92 lakh for the variant with the quickshifter. The ‘Bomber Grey’ variant is priced at Rs 2.97 lakh. If you decide to go for any of the kits mentioned above, the prices will go up accordingly.
