Tata Tiago EV Interior

The interior of the Tiago EV remains more or less the same as its ICE counterpart too. However, like the exterior, it also gets blue accents in the cabin. The gear lever is now replaced with a rotary dial as well. Tata has loaded the car with a lot of equipment such as automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, push-button start/stop and cruise control. Tata Tiago EV Powertrain, Performance and Range

The Tata Tiago EV is underpinned by the same Ziptronic architecture as seen on the Tiago and Nexon EV. You have the option of buying a Tiago EV in two battery sizes — 24kWh and 19.2kWh. It is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC motor which, with bigger 24kWh battery, produces 75 bhp of peak power and 114Nm of peak torque. But when it is coupled to the smaller 19.2kWh battery, it churns out 60bhp and 105Nm. As a result of this, it can do the 0-60kmph run in just 5.7 seconds. The Tiago EV also gets two drive modes — City and Sport.

The claimed MIDC range for the 24kWh battery pack is 315km while that for the 19.2kWh battery pack is 250 km. With the Tiago EV, there are four charging options, the DC charger being the fastest one taking the car from 10 to 80 per cent in just 57 minutes, while the 7.2 kW AC home charger will take only 3 hours 36 minutes for a full charge. You can also charge the car from a 3.3 kW AC charger as well as from any 15A wall plug. Moreover, it also gets a four-level regen system, which charges the battery by feeding the power back into the system when you're braking.
