Royal Enfield Track School training programme launched in India

Royal Enfield has taken a significant step forward in its 'Pure Sport' initiative with the launch of the Royal Enfield Track School. This initiative seeks to democratise track racing opportunities for emerging racers and riding enthusiasts in order to improve their track-riding abilities. Building on the success of the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup, this venture aims to develop new track racing talent.

The participants in the Track School will have access to a Royal Enfield GT650 for dedicated track training. However, there is no mention of whether the motorcycles provided will be stock or race spec. Renowned racers Anish Shetty and Pradeep Reddy, who have won the Royal Enfield GT Cup, will serve as trainers in this programme.

The first sessions of the Track School are scheduled for September 9-10 at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. The following sessions are planned for October 15 in Bangalore, November 5 in Kolhapur, and November 26 in Ahmedabad. The programme is set to grow, with additional locations and dates to be announced in the near future.

The Royal Enfield Track School is divided into three sections:

  • GT Experience: A one-day on-track course that immerses participants in the fundamentals of track riding.

  • GT Track: A two-day immersive on-track programme that seamlessly transitions from fundamental to advanced techniques, aimed at developing skilled riders.

  • GT Race: This all-inclusive package combines previous knowledge, delving deeper into race-specific nuances such as motorcycle setup, race simulation, fitness regimens, and more.
