Indian rally star Harith Noah stormed through Stage 4 of the Rallye du Maroc, claiming his first Rally 2 class victory in this rally and finishing fourth overall in the bikes category. Riding for Sherco TVS, Noah's win marks the first time a non-KTM rider has topped the Rally 2 class this week, breaking KTM's streak of dominance. It was a good day for the Hero Motosports team as well, whose rider Jose Ignacio Cornejo finished P2 at the end of the stage claiming the team’s second podium in this rally.
The team continues to push forward, with Jose Ignacio Cornejo securing a remarkable second place in Stage 4, just behind Red Bull KTM’s Daniel Sanders. Ross Branch, focused on securing the World Rally Raid Championship, played it safe and finished in P9. Currently, Branch sits fifth overall in the bikes category, while Cornejo holds P7. With Branch needing only to finish the rally to claim the championship, Hero is on the brink of a historic victory, both for the team and the country.
Noah’s win today ended KTM’s run at the top of the Rally 2 timings, with Bradley Cox and Edgar Canet leading the previous stages. Noah’s Sherco proved unstoppable, as he finished over three minutes ahead of Austria’s Tobias Ebster. With this win, Noah tightens his grip on 4th overall in the Rally 2 standings, now just 5 minutes behind a podium finish.
Stay tuned as both Noah and Hero MotoSports set their sights on a strong finish in the final stage!
