MG Gloster was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and is all set to the third product from the carmaker in India. Expected to launch in October, the SUV will be the most expensive vehicle from MG and will be equipped with some segment-first features as teased in an official video.

What we are talking about is the fact that the Gloster will come with Level 1 autonomous driving features. Being the first SUV in this segment to offer features like front collision warning (FCW), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Lane Departure Warning, auto parking assist and adaptive cruise control, the Gloster debuts some impressive equipment and capabilities.

The adaptive cruise control technology is a feature that works in conjunction with a radar system. Basically, it is an active safety system that controls the speed of the vehicle maintaining a safe distance with the vehicle ahead of you. If the system detects a slow-moving vehicle in your lane, it will automatically slow down your car and in case the vehicle in front of you gives you side to overtake the car will speed up again to pre-set cruising speed keeping the driver stress free on highways.

Under the hood, the powertrain of the Gloster has not been officially revealed yet. While on the inside, like the other vehicles in MGs portfolio, we expect the Gloster to arrive with a list of features like three-zone climate control, captain seats in the middle row, sunroof, ventilated driver and passenger seats, ambient lighting and an internet-connected infotainment system that enable the owner to control the SUV via smartphone.

MG Motors is yet to confirm the official launch date of Gloster. Expect to see a lot more of it in the upcoming month on our website and social media!
