Land Rover puts Defender to work for Red Cross

Land Rover hands over 143 units of the 2020 Defender test vehicles to the Red Cross and Red Cresent, to aid them in their fight against Coronavirus.

Land Rover has put the Defender straight into action by donating a fleet of them to the Red Cross and Red Crescent services currently battling the Coronavirus crisis. Land Rover announced the Defenders stated to become media loaner cars will now become a part of the humanitarian outreach efforts taken by the Red Cross and Red Crescent medical services.

A total of 143 vehicles, with 105 vehicle supplied to the Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies among this list of week vehicles include 57 Land Rover Defenders and 18 Range Rover Velars as well as a couple of Jaguar F-pace were provided to the Spanish arm of the Red Cross.

"We've quickly redeployed the Defender press fleet to support our partners at the Red Cross to help communities across the UK," stated Land Rover's communications director Richard Agnew on social media.

In spite of the company going through some financial hardships, it is great to see that the company can have a role and chip in these times when the whole world is fighting against this pandemic.
