2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 – More power with better tech

Kawasaki have announced the 2019 Ninja H2 and it is rumored that the bike will make close to 228bhp. The new bike will borrow tech features from the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE.

Kawasaki claims that the 2019 variant is more powerful thanks to a new air filter, intake chamber and spark plugs. The power increase comes with no effect on the fuel efficiency. It will be equipped with dual radial mount, opposed 4-piston Brembo ‘Stylema’ calipers and the semi-floating 330mm discs are equipped with Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS). Kawasaki has gone ahead and fitted the H2 with all-new Bridgestone Battlax RS11 sport tires(12/70-17 front, 200/55-17 rear) .

“The visual impact and engineering prowess of the Ninja H2 will surely increase thanks to this major update,” commented Kenji Nagahara, Managing Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe.

The bike also gets an analogue-style tachometer that is complemented with a high-grade full color TFT LCD screen that has four selectable display modes that allows riders to decide what information is displayed. The screen can also be controlled via a ‘Rideology’ application on the smartphone. The 2019 Ninja H2 and H2 Carbon will also get new LED illumination all-around, which mean that the headlamp, position lamps, taillights, turn signals and the license plate lamp are now LEDs.

Self-healing paint

Kawasaki’s innovation did not stop there, the H2 now features a special top coat that allows scratches to repair themselves, enabling the paint to maintain its high quality finish. The self-healing is achieved through microscopic soft and hard segments within the top coat working like a chemical spring, creating a trampoline effect that absorbs impacts.
