Hyundai has revealed images of the all-new Santro which was code-named the AH2. The compact hatch will be launched on October 23, 2018. It will be powered by a a 1.1-litre petrol engine which makes 67bhp and 104Nm of peak twist. The new Santro will be priced at approximately Rs 3.69 lakh for the base variant will go up to Rs 5.40 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant.
Hyundai says that the all-new Santro provides more customer benefits, such as bigger vehicle dimensions resulting in better cabin space, better suspension that provides superior ride and handling, superior chassis rigidity and lower NVH levels.
The all-new Santro is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.1 Litre petrol motor which makes 67bhp and 104Nm of peak torque. The engine is said to have lower vibrations, and deliver superior performance and high fuel efficiency. It will be the first Hyundai model to offer in-house developed Smart Auto AMT Technology and will have Factory fitted CNG option.
Hyundai mentions that the superior ride and comfort will be courtesy of better suspension. The Santro gets McPherson Struts at the front with stabilizer bars mounted on the struts. It comes with a coupled torsion beam axle with V-beam lateral rod that improves durability.
Hyundai says that the overall body structure is made more rigid with 63 percent Advanced high strength steel and high strength steel. The hatchback is also equipped with ABS, EBD and driver side airbag as standard.To reduce the noise levels in the cabin, double sealing weather strips have been used to minimize wind noise. Road noise is also reduced with application of anti-pad and sound deadener. Isolation pads are used to keep the engine noise restricted to the engine bay.
The all-new Hyundai Santro will feature a 7-inch touch screen audio visual infotainment system with voice recognition, navigation, mirror link, apple carplay, android auto a rear parking camera display on screen. The system can be controlled using a smartphone app (iBlue Audio Remote) via Bluetooth. It is also equipped with Hyundai’s Eco Coating Technology which prevents unpleasant odor to develop in the AC Evaporator by degrading the micro-organisms.
The rear seat bench has enhanced back support bolster and thigh support for better support while cornering and longer journeys.

The all-new Santro can be pre-booked online starting from October 10, 2018 till October 22, 2018 with Rs 11,100 as booking amount for the first 50,000 customers as an introductory offer.
