The Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale has set a lap time record at Fiorano Circuit for a road-going car. Clocking a lap time of 1:17.309 which was 1.4 seconds quicker than the previous record. The previous record was set in 2022 by an SF90 Stradale sporting the Assetto Fiorano package.
The new record was set on October 16 during the official International Test Drive of the SF90 XX Stradale which was driven by Raffaele de Simone, Ferrari's Head of Development Test Driving. The SF90 XX was equipped with lightweight carbon-fibre wheels and Michelin Cup2R tyres that are available as an accessory on the model. These same tyres and wheels were used by the standard car to set the previous record.
In terms of differences between the XX and the standard SF90 Stradale, a new aerodynamic package generates 530kg of downforce at 250kmph, 315kg of which is generated by the fixed rear wing alone. Power is also slightly increased, with a 17bhp increase from the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 to a total of 1016bhp when combined with three electric motors. This increase is due to lighter pistons, a reworked combustion chamber, polished inlet and exhaust ducts, and a higher compression ratio. The XX accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 2.3 seconds and from 0 to 200kmph in 6.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 320kmph.
Ferrari will build 799 units of the SF90 XX Stradale for Rs 6.9 crore (excluding taxes and duties in India). Internationally, the deliveries will begin in the second quarter of 2024, with this coupe hitting the road at the end of the year.
