Nearly a month ago, Royal Enfield showcased the Lock Stock, a custom built motorcycle at an event organised by The Bike Shed Club in London. Now at the seventh edition of Wheels and Waves festival (Europe’s landmark surfing and motorcycling festival), in France, it has showcased two new custom built motorcycles as well – Rohini and Interceptor.  The festival is popular as many custom motorcycle makers showcase their concepts.

Lock Stock

When the Lock Stock was showcased in London, there weren’t many details surrounding the custom built motorcycle. The Lock Stock is an 865cc drag motorcycle, designed and developed by Royal Enfield. The frame of the motorcycle is made of brazed steel and Royal Enfield collaborated with Harris Performance for the chassis. Royal Enfield collaborated with USA based S&S Cycles for turning the 650cc engine to an 865cc unit and added a nitrous boost.

Rohini

Rohini was custom built by Young Guns Speed Shop based out of Switzerland. The custom motorcycle is based on the Continental GT and is inspired by Indian Space Research Organisation’s ‘Rohini’ satellites. Rohini is a café racer concept. With its mono seat and a bikini fairing, it looks stunning with the orange and black stripes on the tank and the rear section.

Interceptor

Interceptor is the custom motorcycle that is based on Royal Enfield’s Interceptor 650cc twin. Royal Enfield had partnered with Old Empire Motorcycles based in UK for this custom motorcycle. This particular motorcycle looks mean with its long black front fascia and a vertical red slit. Other components like the side panels, the engine case, handlebar and the front forks are also blacked out and the bike is styled to look aggressive.  The motorcycle gets quilted ‘Oxblood’ leather and Alcantara seat, which blends well with the overall look of the motorcycle.  The motorcycle shown in the images doesn’t have a clutch lever or a front brake lever on the handlebar – RE says that it has ‘internalised the controls’ to hide wires and cables. The motorcycle also gets keyless ignition. How cool is that?
