The Volkswagen ID.4 GTX is an electric-powered SUV that the brand offers in the UK, USA, and European markets. It was showcased by Volkswagen India at its Annual Brand Conference in Kochi today. Here are some key points about the EV.

The interiors of the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX are sustainable in every way possible. The seats are made from a fabric called "ArtVelours," which is made from recycled PET bottles. The "Natural Fiber Tech" material, which is a combination of renewable raw materials like wood and agricultural byproducts, is used to make the dashboard and door panels. The interiors appear cutting-edge and futuristic, with a 10-inch floating touchscreen and a 5.3-inch fully digital instrument console. The ID.4 GTX has an eye-catching LED light bar that runs the length of the back of the car. The brake light and turn signal on this light bar make it functional in addition to being beautiful. This car sports 20 inch alloy wheels that give the SUV a planted stance. The ID.4 GTX features signature GTX badging on the front grille, rear liftgate, and side fenders, thus distinguishing it from its non-GTX sibling.

The powertrain of the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX that produces 295bhp and 460Nm of torque is a combined effort of two motors – a permanent magnet synchro machine (PSM) on the rear axle, and an asynchronous motor (ASM) on the front axle. Clocking 0-100kmph in 6.3 seconds, the car manages a top speed of 180kmph.

The model has the largest ID.4 battery, a 24-cell 77kWh lithium-ion unit that weighs 486kg, is claimed to have a range of up to 480km, and can be recharged using regenerative braking.
