Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept unveiled

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept will define Lancia’s design philosophy for the next 10 years

Italian carmaker Lancia has unveiled the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept that launches the brand into the era of electric mobility. The concept would also guide the design philosophy of the brand for the next 10 years.

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE Specifications

The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept boasts a whopping 700km range and a charging time of a little over 10 minutes. The energy consumption stands at just 10kWh per 100km. The technology used by Lancia for the concept has been termed S.A.L.A., which is an abbreviation for Sound, Air, Light, and Augmentation and also translates to ‘living room’ in Italian. This technology would centralize audio, climate control, and lighting conditions. This centralization would enable total control of the car’s environment at the touch of a button or with voice commands. Another technological add-on is ‘TAPE’ which is an abbreviation for Tailored Predictive Experiences that adjust the cabin ambiance in three modes, namely Immersive, Well-being, and Elegance.

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE Interiors

The interior of the car is inspired by the Italian upscale furniture maker ‘Cassina’, which exudes a ‘home feeling’ experience of a living room that is usually attributed to autonomous vehicles. The fabrics and textures for the deep bucket Maralunga armchairs wrapped in wool cloth have been sourced by Cassina in Viareggio, Italy. The entire dashboard seems to be tastefully sheathed in wool, velvet, and wood marquetry. The door panels are fabricated with Nubuck leather and marble dust.

The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept features a streamlined body and incorporates a new design language that the brand will be following for the next 10 years. The design incorporates geometric shapes such as triangles and circles. The signature light grille doubles up as a battery-level readout. The Lancia logo has been revamped as well, which is also reflected in the badges on the sides of the car. The color displayed by Lancia in the unveil is being called ‘Progressive Green’ by the brand, which denotes the ‘progressive’ mindset that the brand is aiming for in the future, while ‘green’ denotes the value the brand puts into sustainability. The circular roof provides a broad and panoramic view, also incorporating the dynamic geometric design language.
