Kia has launched the highly awaited 2025 Carnival in India at ₹63.9 lakh, ex-showroom. It comes in as a CBU, is offered in two variants — Limousine and Limousine+ — and gets a seven-seat layout (2+2+3). The MPV is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine and gets a whole host of upgrades over its predecessor including sharper styling, more kit on the inside and even ADAS features. Here's everything that you need to know about it.
A facelift of the fourth-generation, the 2025 Carnival Limousine gets sharper styling which is in line with Kia’s all new global models including the EV9 electric SUV which has also made its way to Indian shores. Up front it gets the brand’s signature black and chrome ‘Tiger Nose’ grille which is flanked by vertically stacked four-cube LED headlights with long DRLs that also double up as turn-indicators. It also gets LED fog lamps housed in the lower grille and the 2D Kia satin logo on the bonnet. In profile the MPV gets 18-inch alloy wheels, measures 5155mm in length, with a 3090mm wheelbase, and also gets one-touch power sliding rear doors. It also boasts a floating D-pillar design with a satin C-pillar garnish which looks absolutely ace. At the rear, the MPV gets wrap-around LED tail lights with a connected design, a spoiler, shark fin antenna and chrome skid plate. The MPV is available in two colours — Glacier White Pearl and Fusion Black. All-in-all there's no mistaking the Carnival to be anything else but a Kia, but now it looks even more SUV-like because of all these new design elements.
The 2025 Kia Carnival Limousine is available only as a 7-seater with a 2+2+3 layout. It gets new digital real estate with combined curved 12.3-inch TFT LCD cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new Carnival is loaded to the brim with features including 12-way power driver's and 8-way power front passenger seat, both ventilated, sunshades for 2nd and 3rd row, a three-zone automatic air-con system, dual-sunroof, wireless charger, 64 colour ambient light, auto dimming IRVM and a banging 12-speaker BOSE sound system. On the safety front, it offers 8 airbags, ABS, ESC, 4-wheel disc brakes, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance system, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot warning, forward collision avoidance and hill-hold. Phew. The interior upholstery is available in a single two-tone Tuscan & Umber colour.
Powering the 2025 Carnival Limousine is a 2.2-litre diesel engine which makes 190bhp and 441Nm of peak torque. It's paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission which sends power only to the front wheels. Kia has also given paddle shifters for manual control of the gearbox and the MPV also gets four drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport and Smart.
The 2025 Kia Carnival Limousine has been launched at ₹63.9 lakh (ex-showroom), making it more than twice as expensive as the previous Carnival. This significant price increase is due to the fact that it is now available as a completely built unit. Kia is offering a 3-year warranty on the Carnival Limousine, along with free maintenance and roadside assistance. While the Carnival doesn’t have any direct competitors in terms of price, it rivals the likes of the Toyota Innova HyCross, which is almost ₹20 lakh more affordable, and the Toyota Vellfire, which is priced at over ₹1 crore.
