BMW X3 M launched in India at Rs 99.9 lakh

BMW has introduced the first-ever X3 M in India for Rs 99.9 lakh. The X3 M will take the CBU route and the bookings for the car have already begun at all BMW dealerships and digital retail platforms. The X3 M is the first mid-size SUV with BMW’s M package in India.

On the outside, the X3 M shares the design with other BMW X models in the lineup. It gets a long wheelbase, hexagonal wheel arches, the BMW signature kidney grille with blacked-out double bars and M- style signature gills on the air breathers on the front flanks. The ORVMs are also designed to reduce the aerodynamic drag. The X3 M runs on 20-inch lightweight alloys.

Under the hood, the X3 M gets an inline six-cylinder engine that churns out 474bhp and 600Nm of torque. The engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and can do a sprint of 0-100kmph in just 4.2 seconds. The X3 M gets the new M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and also has four different driving modes.

Stepping inside the X3 M, you find an M-style cockpit with electrical sport seats with memory function. With vernasca leather upholstery, ambient lighting in the cabin and an M-style instrument cluster makes the interior look more sporty. The X3 M also gets a panoramic sunroof that makes the cabin look airier. The features list of the X3 M is also long with a 12.3-inch multi-information display, an iDrive touch controller and multi-function steering wheel with voice control and gesture control features. X3 M also gets wireless charging and virtual assistance for smartphone operations. Also, as a part of the individualisation process, one can get their X3 M customised with 21-inch alloy wheels, a BMW smart key with display, an M-sport exhaust, an M driver's package and a Harmon-Kardon surround sound system.

BMW X3 M is loaded with safety features as well like the front, side and head airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) that includes cornering brake control (CBC), dry braking function, cruise control and collision and pedestrian warning systems. On offer as a part of standard features, the X3 M gets adaptive LED headlamps, high-beam and parking assistance feature, an M-specific display that can be shown on head-up display also.

The X3 M has no direct rivals in India as there is no mid-size SUV available in India at this price point such performance in tow.
