BMW Motorrad India has officially begun the registration process for the fourth edition of the Indian National Qualifier for the upcoming International GS Trophy 2024. The event is open to all BMW GS motorcycle owners in India. Successful participants will compete as 'Team India' in the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024, which will be held in Namibia.

The qualifying rounds for the Indian region will take place in Bengaluru on October 1, Mumbai on October 15, and Delhi on November 5. Contestants will be evaluated based on off-road rides and technical tests performed on their own BMW GS motorcycles. The regional winners will then be evaluated on BMW R 1250 GS motorcycles provided by BMW Motorrad India.

The final round will determine the three riders who will represent 'Team India' in the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024. BMW Motorrad will provide these selected riders with riding gear and accessories, and they will receive personalised BMW GS motorcycles upon arrival in Namibia to begin their adventure.

Furthermore, female BMW GS riders can qualify for the international female qualifying round, where they will compete against five other women's teams and sixteen men's teams.

The Indian National Qualifier, held every two years, closely resembles the International GS Trophy challenges while retaining the competition's essence. Throughout the competition, participants earn points, and the top competitors earn spots on ‘Team India.’

The Indian National Qualifier registration period will end on September 5, 2023. Interested participants can register here.

The BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024 Namibia is the ninth edition of this global event, which has previously taken place in Albania (2022), New Zealand (2020), Mongolia (2018), Thailand (2016), Canada (2014), Chile and Argentina (2012), South Africa, Swaziland, and Mozambique (2010), and Tunisia (2008). This edition will feature 22 teams from around the world, with a total of 60 riders.
