BMW Motorrad has launched its flagship superbike, the M 1000 RR, in India. Coming through the CBU route, this motorcycle is offered in two variants: standard and Competition. The standard variant is priced at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Competition variant carries a price tag of Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). The M 1000 RR is the track-focused iteration of the S 1000 RR, holding the distinction of being the first production BMW superbike to bear the 'M' badge.

BMW M 1000 RR design and chassis

In the 2023 model of the BMW M 1000 RR, significant aerodynamic enhancements have been implemented. The motorcycle showcases a lightweight carbon fibre fairing, that incorporates newly designed winglets. These winglets are optimised for improved aerodynamics and generate increased downforce compared to previous versions. To further enhance airflow and optimise cooling, the front mudguards of the M 1000 RR now feature integrated brake ducts. These ducts aid in directing airflow around the fork legs and brake callipers, resulting in improved cooling performance.

The BMW M 1000 RR is also offered in the M Competition Package, which includes the M GPS Laptrigger software and activation code. It also adds the M milled parts package, the M Carbon package, a 220 g lighter swinging arm, a DLC-coated M Endurance chain, a pillion package, and M Aero Wheel Covers. The M milled parts package features aluminium brake and clutch levers, while the M Carbon package includes carbon covers for the rear wheel, drive sprocket, chain guard, and side and tank panels. The package also includes a natural-coloured anodized swinging arm, DLC-coated chain, pillion package, and M Aero Wheel Covers.

The BMW M 1000 RR is offered in two distinct and exclusive paint finishes. The standard BMW M 1000 RR model comes in the Light White / M Motorsport colour scheme. On the other hand, the BMW M 1000 RR Competition variant showcases the striking Blackstorm metallic / M Motorsport paint finish.
