BMW launches the 620d Gran Turismo in India

The BMW 620d Gran Turismo was launched in India today at Rs 63.90 lakh ex showroom. The 620d will be produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai. The 620d Gran Turismo further diversifies the model’s diesel portfolio, and is available in Luxury Line design scheme.

So what’s new in the BMW 620d Grand Turismo?

The 620d Gran Turismo is powered by a two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. It produces 188bhp and 400Nm between 1,750 – 2,500rpm. The power is transferred via an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 7.9 seconds. The 6 Series Gran Turismo enables the driver to choose between the Sport, Comfort, Comfort+, Eco Pro and Adaptive driving modes. There’s also an adaptive 2-axle air suspension with automatic self-levelling that sharpens the car’s dynamics.

The GT has six air bags, ABS with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Side-impact Protection, Runflat tyres (RFT) with reinforced sidewalls, electronic vehicle immobiliser, crash sensor and emergency spare wheel.
