Royal Enfield has introduced a new avatar of the Classic 350, the Goan Classic 350, and prices for the motorcycle start from ₹2.35 lakh. The Goan Classic 350 is a bobber based on the Classic 350, with a few cosmetic tweaks and ergonomic changes made to differentiate the motorcycle from the regular Classic.
In terms of the design, the Goan Classic 350 gets ‘ape style’ taller handlebars, though shorter handlebars are also optional. You get new LED headlights, pilot lights and turn indicators along with a new tail lamp housing on the Goan Classic 350. The Goan Classic 350 also gets CEAT whitewall tyres which are tubeless, with cross-spoke wheels – a first for the J-platform RE motorcycles. The front wheel size is unchanged from the regular Classic at 19-inches, though the Goan gets a smaller 16-inch rear wheel, 2-inches smaller than the regular model, to aid the bobber styling. You also get four colour schemes – Purple Haze, Rave Red, Trip Teal and Shack Black. The bike also gets a 55mm lower seat than the Classic 350 with the Goan Classic monogram, and while the pillion seat comes standard, it can be removed with two bolts. It also gets the same cluster and Tripper pod from Classic 350.
The motorcycle is based on a twin downtube spine frame – same as the regular Classic – and it gets telescopic forks up front with twin-tube Emulsion shock absorbers at the rear with 6-step adjustable preload. Handling the braking duties is a 300mm disc at the front and a 270mm disc at the rear, and you also get dual-channel ABS on the Goan Classic 350. The Goan Classic 350 is 2kg heavier than the regular model.
The Goan Classic 350 shares its engines with the regular Classic, and this 349cc engine is in the same state of tune, producing 20.2bhp of power and 27Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
Prices for the Goan Classic 350 start from ₹2.35 lakh for the single-tone models in the Shack Black, Purple Haze and Trip Teal colours. The dual-tone Race Red colour scheme is priced at ₹2.38 lakh.
