Pune-based Polarity Smart Bikes will unveil six electric bikes in Mumbai later this month. These unique pedal-assisted machines will be available for pre-booking on their website at a refundable amount of Rs 1,001 after the unveiling. The company has already teased six bikes on its social media handles.

Being under development for the last two years, recently we even spotted a test mule in Pune. These bikes are categorised into Sport and Executive models. The model codes are S1K, S2K, S3K, E1K, E2K and E3K. The top-end models are claimed to be capable of reaching a top speed of 100kmph. Polarity also claims that all their models have a minimum range of 80km, so we can expect them to be FAME-II compliant.

The test mule spotted had premium features like USD forks, gas-charged monoshock, LED illumination and LCD instrument cluster. All the bikes come with Lithium-ion batteries and electric hub motor ranging from 1-3kW.

Thanks to their pedal assistance feature, Polarity Smart Bikes are not dependent on charging infrastructure, solving the issue of range anxiety. Polarity will also offer a custom stand allowing it to use it as a spinning cycle.

There are a few e-bikes available in India, though none of them exceed a speed of 30kmph and have equipment or range like Polarity promises, giving the brand an edge over the competition.
