Orxa Energies, a Bangalore-based EV startup, has launched its first flagship motorcycle, the Mantis, for Rs 3.60 lakh. The Mantis has been in development for over six years, with the current two-wheeler version being in development since 2017.

Orxa Manitis design and chassis

The Mantis has an angular appearance, with split seats, a sculpted tank, and a short rear section. The front has twin headlights and a distinct DRL. The bike features 41mm telescopic forks at the front, 17-inch alloy wheels, a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, a 320mm disc and a 230mm disc at the front and rear ends, all-LED lighting, and minimal bodywork.

The Orxa Mantis has a wheelbase of 1450mm and a seat height of 815mm. The motorcycle is the lightest in the segment, weighing 182kg, thanks to a lighter battery pack, which is a structural part of the frame. In comparison to the concept shown at IBW 2022, the frame itself has been revised, as has used an aluminium subframe. It also has a ground clearance of 180mm.
