Tronx Motors, the e-vehicle arm of Indian electronics, telecommunications and e-security services provider Smartron has launched the tBike One Pro pedal-assisted electric bike. Positioned as a last-mile mobility solution, the tBike One Pro is built on the brand's first-generation tBike One, and as the brand claims, it is redesigned to significantly reduce total cost of ownership through reduced operational, maintenance and carbon footprint.

The tBike One Pro features a detachable 36V 13.6Ah Lithium 500W battery along with a 250W rear hub motor offering 50km range on battery assist, 80km range on pedal assist, a 25kmph top speed, and doesn’t require a licence. Further, it gets multiple ride modes and Virtual Gears coupled with three electric gears and 6-speed Shimano Tourney shifters.

Anoop Nishanth, CEO, Tronx Motors, said, “We are thrilled to unveil the tBike One Pro beyond being just a lifestyle-led EV technology. This is an e-bike that comes with smart features suited to address the aspirations of Indian customers and breaks all barriers for EV adoption. We are confident about India’s automotive electrification journey, and we would like to be part of the journey to reinforce our commitment towards developing sustainable and responsible mobility solutions for India.”

With the collaboration with BLive, it won't be long before you too might see these bikes cropping up in your city

But far from being one of the many e-scooters out in the market, the tBike One Pro will also serve logistics and leisure businesses such as resorts and ride-sharing as well as e-commerce delivery platforms. To that end, the tBike One Pro is powered by the brand's AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) tech allowing e-fleet owners, riders and lease companies to gain real-time insights on the usage such as distance covered, usage parameters, wear and team predictions recorded via the tBike app. It also for remote lock and unlock, as well as vehicle location.

The icing on the cake, though, is that Tronx has recently tied up with BLive, a travel tech platform that offers experiential tours on electric bikes. Hence, Smartron will provide customised smart cloud connected e-bikes across 14 cities (including Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad) that the brand currently operates in.

Sandeep Mukherjee, co-founder and COO, BLive, said, "We are happy to be associated with Smartron for the tBike One Pro. Thanks to the flexibility of charging the bike and host of other brilliant features, we are able to offer seamless experience to BLive tour guests. Our guests enjoy the immersive experience as they explore locations that are usually unseen, allowing them to be closer to nature and the local culture in an environment friendly way."
