KTM’s big bikes reach India; launches 1390 Super Duke R at ₹22.96 lakh

KTM has also launched the 1290 Adventure S, 890 Duke R and 890 Adventure R

KTM has finally brought its big bikes to India. Included are the 1390 Super Duke R at ₹22.96 lakh, 890 Duke R at ₹14.50 lakh, 1290 Super Adventure S at ₹22.74 lakh and the 890 Adventure R at ₹15.80 lakh. Apart from these, KTM has also launched its Enduro and Motocross range of bikes. 

KTM 1390 Super Duke R

The 1390 Super Duke R is driven by an upgraded version of the LC8 engine. It’s essentially a 1,350cc V-twin engine, delivering 187bhp and 145Nm of torque. It comes with a 17.5-litre fuel tank, 834mm high seat and a dry weight of 200kg. Electronics suite includes conrnering traction control, launch control, wheelie control, multiple ride modes, and a two-way quickshifter. It features a fully adjustable WP USD fork at the front and a WP monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by Brembo Stylema callipers with dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 240mm disc at the rear. It costs ₹22.96 lakh ex-showroom.

The 1390 Super Duke R gets features like cornering traction control.

KTM 890 Duke R

This model features a more powerful version of the 889cc parallel-twin engine found in the 890 Adventure R that was also launched today, delivering 119bhp and 100Nm of torque. Amazingly, this bike weighs just 171kg Like the Super Duke above, this one is also equipped with Brembo Stylema calipers at the front and adjustable WP suspension. It comes with Michelin Power Cup tyres and costs ₹14.50 lakh.

The 890 Duke R also gets Brembo Stylema callipers.

KTM 1290 Super Adventure S

Powering the 1290 Super Adventure S is an updated 1,301cc V-twin engine, producing 158bhp and 138Nm of torque. It rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, with braking handled by dual 320mm discs at the front and a 267mm disc at the rear. The suspension consists of semi-active WP USD forks up front and a monoshock at the rear.

Electronics package is vast and include features like adaptive cruise control, cornering lights, lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS and heated grips. It comes with a 7-inch TFT and is priced at ₹22.74 lakh.

The 1290 Super Adventure S employs a 1,301cc V-twin engine.

KTM 890 Adventure R

This bike is powered by an 889cc parallel-twin shared with the 890 Duke R. In this bike, this engine makes 104bhp and 100Nm of torque. With a 20-litre fuel tank and dry weight of 200kg, this is one of the mostly highly regarded adventure bike in the marker worldwide. Equipped with fully adjustable WP Xplor suspension, the 890 Adventure R offers 240mm of travel both at the front and rear. This bike is priced at ₹15.80 lakh.

The 890 Adventure R comes with 240m of suspension travel on both ends.

Enduro and Motocross bikes

Apart from its big bikes, the brand has also introduced one enduro bike – the 350 EXC-F Six Days and is priced at ₹12.96 Lacs. KTM has also introduced several motocross bikes. Pricing is as follows: 

o KTM 450 SX-F: ₹10.25 Lacs

o KTM 250 SX-F: ₹9.58 Lacs

o KTM 85 SX: ₹6.69 Lacs

o KTM 65 SX: ₹5.47 Lacs

o KTM 50 SX: ₹4.75 Lacs

The bikes come as CBU and will be available at KTM’s flagship stores available in seven cities across India starting with Bangalore and Pune.
