Husqvarna pulled the wraps off the Vitpilen and Svartpilen 250 at the India Bike Week 2019. Sharing their underpinnings with the 250 Duke, the Vitpilen inclines towards the café racer genre while the Svartpilen is more of a scrambler. But Husqvarna has now gone ahead and unveiled the Svartpilen 200, which, needless to say, is based on the 200 Duke.

All you need to know about the Svartpilen 200

Powering the Svartpilen 200 is the same single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC-equipped 200cc engine from the 200 Duke producing 25.6bhp and 19.5Nm. It also shares the braking and suspension hardware with the KTM. Other components like the body panels, LED headlamp, indicators and alloy wheels are identical to the Svartpilen 250. The Svartpilen 200 too misses out on the wired spoke rims seen on the Svartpilen 401.

The Svartpilen 200 could make its debut in India in the second half of 2020 as an affordable offering from the company in India. The Svartpilen 200 could demand a premium of Rs 10,000 over the 200 Duke, which retails at Rs 1.62 lakh(ex-showroom, Delhi).
