RR Global, an Indian conglomerate in the electrical industry will soon be launching a couple of electric scooters in the country under the BGauss brand. To begin with, it’ll offer A2 and B8 – its scooters catering to the low-speed and high-speed segment – in five variants. Sales are expected to begin from the first week of August and until then, the brand is focusing on building its dealership network.
Both the scooters feature removable battery packs, anti-theft alarm, anti-theft motor locking, LED instrumental panel (TFT on B8) DRLs, keyless start/stop, centralised seat lock, USB charging, Reverse Assist, side stand sensor, dedicated mobile apps and three riding modes - Low, Mid, High.
The B8 will be sold in three variants – LI Technology, Li-Ion and Lead Acid. All the variants offer a range of 78km and a top speed of 50kmph. The Li-Ion battery version gets a removable battery pack with a capacity of 1.45Kw, taking three hours for a full charge. The lead acid variant on the other hand takes 7-8 hours for a full recharge. Both the variants employ a 1.9Kw Bosch BLDC motor to send power to the rear wheel. The Technology variant offers all the features including Bluetooth connectivity.
The A2 is sold in Lead Acid and Li-Ion variants, and gets a top speed of 25kmph and a range of 110km. The prices for both the scooters haven’t been announced as yet.
