Bajaj Pulsar P150 launched at ₹1.16 lakh

Bajaj Pulsar P150 can be had with the option of a rear disc or drum brake

The newly launched Bajaj Pulsar P150 sees some tweaks on the design, a few feature upgrades over the Pulsar 150 and some weight reduction also follow along. It slots in between the Pulsar 150 and the Pulsar N160. 

The bike reatains the design language of a sporty commuter bike

The Pulsar P150 takes design inspiration from the bigger N160 and N250 which the headlamp design being similar to these bikes,  while also retaining certain elements from the outgoing Pulsar 150. It is a slightly sporty-looking commuter bike and comes in five colour options - Racing Red, Caribbean Blue, Ebony Black Red, Ebony Black Blue and Ebony Black White.

The weight of the bike has gone down by 10kg

Bajaj Pulsar P150 engine and chassis

Bajaj Pulsar P150 is powered by a 149cc air-cooled engine producing 14bhp and 13.5Nm. The power figures get a very slight bump over the regular 150. It uses a 31mm telescopic fork at the front and mono shock at the rear while the braking duties are handled by a 260mm disc at the front and a 230mm one at the rear. The drum brake variant gets a 130mm drum at the rear. The single-disc variant gets a 90/90-17 tyre at the front and a 110/80-17 at the rear while the dual-disc variant gets 80/100-17 on the front and 100/90-17 at the rear. The weight of the bike has also gone down by 10kg which in turn results in a better power-to-weight ratio.

The Bajaj Pulsar P150 gets a semi-digital instrument cluster as seen on the NS160 which shows a gear position as well as a range indicator. It also gets a full LED projector headlamp and the addition of a USB charging port is also welcome.

The Bajaj Pulsar P150 is offered in two variants a single disc and a dual disc one priced at ₹1.16 lakh and ₹1.19 lakh respectively. It will compete with the likes of Yamaha FZ-FI, TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and the Hero XTreme 160R.
