It seems Triumph Motorcycles are on a full-blown offensive. After teasing the Speed Triple 1200 RR and the Tiger Sport 660, the Triumph Tiger 1200 is next in line. We do not know much at the moment, but Triumph says the 2022 Tiger 1200 is in its final stages of testing. Triumph also says the new Tiger 1200 will be much lighter than its predecessor, and it will most likely receive a new engine with a slight bump in power and torque figures, though engine displacement may remain the same. The current Tiger 1200 displaces 1215cc and churns out 139bhp and 122Nm of torque.

The 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 continues to be shaft driven

The design of the 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 seems to fall in line with the newer Tiger 900 range with slimmer headlights and tail lamp. It is possible that the 2022 Tiger 1200 could do away with the current 19-inch wheel setup at the front, and may instead receive 21-inch wheels at the front, while retaining 17-inch wheels at the rear. The 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 is also likely to receive Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers up front, considering the fact that even the smaller Tiger 850 Sport gets them as well. The 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 continues to be shaft-driven, but is expected to receive a complete redesign, while also doing away with the single-side swingarm setup, and instead going for a double-sided swingarm.
