Bentley is set to unveil the EXT 100 GT concept on July 20, celebrating 100 years of the brand. The EXT 100 GT is a zero-emission concept that is expected to showcase Bentley’s vision of the future of Grand Tourers. Bentley, however, hasn’t disclosed anything about its powertrain yet but the ‘zero emission’ tag points towards the electric or hydrogen-cell bandwagon.
For starters, Bentley has teased it in a video that shows its lines which look very similar to the Continental GT. The EXT 100 GT is also expected to set new benchmarks in terms of craftsmanship suggests Bentley. The standards are pretty high when it comes to Bentleys but the EXT 100 GT will take the game to the next level. Bentley has also promised a lot of tech in terms of autonomous driving and the latest, ‘connected’ car trickery.
Coming from the VW Group, the drivetrain will most likely be shared with the Audi e-Tron GT and Porsche Taycan. Based on the J1 platform, both these ‘Group cars are powered by electric motors, which obviously equates to an all-wheel drive. Would it come with a two-door config or four? Guess we’ll have to wait and watch.
