2023 Tata Nexon launched at Rs 8.10 lakh

The updated Tata Nexon comes with an updated design, fresh interiors and a host of new features

Tata Motors has launched the updated Nexon, which starts at Rs 8.10 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.00 lakh. The Tata Nexon retains the same engines as before, with 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel options. However, the interiors and exteriors have been significantly improved. The shell has also been reinforced on the sides for added protection.

The 2023 Tata Nexon has a new design with a taller and more pronounced bonnet, a redesigned front end with new LED DRLs and integrated LED headlamps, a new grille, and a more prominent beltline running from the front to the rear. The rear has connected tail lamps with a dynamic light bar and a rear spoiler that has been extended. It also gets new aluminium alloy wheels. The overall shape of the car has not changed, but many panels and elements have been updated to give it a new look.

2023 Tata Nexon interior

The 2023 Nexon's interior has been completely redesigned. It has new materials and panelling, as well as updated elements like AC vents, centre console, and door panels. The car has a new two-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo, as well as a modern digital instrument cluster that can display maps from the centre console. There is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as HVAC controls on a gloss panel. The vehicle has a premium 9-speaker JBL sound system. Front seats have been redesigned for improved contouring and support, and seat cooling is now available. The passenger seat can be adjusted for height now. Six standard airbags and a reinforced shell have increased safety.

2023 Tata Nexon drivetrain

The engine options for the 2023 Tata Nexon remain the same as the previous model: a 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The power and torque figures for the petrol remain unchanged at 118bhp/170Nm and 113bhp/260Nm, respectively. A new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission has been added to the petrol engine as well. The 6-speed AMT and MT have been retained as well. The DCT model also has paddle shifters for manual gear selection.

2023 Tata Nexon prices

The Nexon facelift is available in a variety of price points and configurations. The Smart variant is priced at Rs 8.10 lakh for the 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to a manual transmission (MT), while the Smart+ variant is priced at Rs 9.10 lakh. The Pure variant, priced at Rs 9.70 lakh, is an option in the same category. Moving up in trim levels, the Creative Petrol MT variant costs Rs 11 lakh, while the Creative+ Petrol MT variant costs Rs 11.70 lakh. The Fearless Petrol MT variant is available for Rs 12.50 lakh, while the top-tier Fearless+ Petrol MT variant costs Rs 13 lakh.

The Creative Petrol AMT variant costs Rs 11.70 lakh if you prefer an automatic transmission. Additionally, the Creative Petrol DCA (Dual-Clutch Automatic) variant is available at Rs 12.20 lakh for the convenience of an automatic transmission with the petrol engine.

For customers considering diesel options, the Nexon facelift offers the Smart Diesel MT variant at a competitive price of Rs. 11 lakh. The Creative Diesel AMT variant is available for Rs. 13 lakh for those who prefer an automatic transmission with the diesel engine.

It should be noted that these are not all of the prices. Tata Motors has yet to announce the prices of all variants. Also, these are introductory prices.
