Having launched the TVS NTorq 125 Spiderman and Thor variants, it seems TVS has capitalised on the hype that’s been going around the newly-released Spiderman movie. TVS had already launched the NTorq SuperSuad edition last year with three variants inspired by Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Panther, and with the Spiderman and Thor-inspired variants, this lineup count goes to five. You can buy the new TVS NTorq 125 Spiderman and Thor variants for Rs 84,850 — that’s a hike of just Rs 1025 over the already-existing variants in the SuperSquad lineup. Now let’s talk about what is really new in these variants.

The looks of the Spiderman variant may cause a bit of a debate

Talking about the design — well, the NTorq has always been a gorgeous-looking scooter, and with these two new variants, you get new design themes which draw inspiration from the two Marvel superheroes — Spiderman and Thor. The Spiderman variant is finished in an Amazing Red paint shade with blue highlights, with the side panels featuring the spider and web decals that Spiderman is associated with.

The Thor edition, on the other hand, is finished in a darker Lightning Grey paint scheme which makes use of black and silver elements, along with red inserts. It also features decals of Thor’s hammer, but we’re hoping we won’t have to be deemed worthy by the man himself to buy this edition (at least we hope that’s the case!)

The NTorq was always equipped with smartphone connectivity via the TVS Connect App, but these new editions receive a unique user-interface that makes use of unique character traits of these superheroes, and also shows the superhero insignia on startup depending on which variant you buy.

It remains unchanged in terms of mechanicals, which means the 124.8cc engine still produces 9.2bhp at 7000rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at 5500rpm, and also still continues to wear 12-inch wheels on both ends, along with the same suspension and braking setup.

The TVS NTorq 125 Spiderman and Thor variants come at a premium over the standard NTorq variants

The TVS NTorq 125 Spiderman and Thor editions come at a price tag of Rs 84,850 (ex-showroom), and go up against the Suzuki Burgman Street (Rs 86,100), the newly-updated Aprilia SR 125 (Rs 1.07 lakh), Honda Grazia (Rs 78,389 to Rs 85,714), and the Yamaha RayZR (Rs 73,330 to Rs 83,830).
