The purest and most technologically advanced Black Badge car yet — this is what the folks at Rolls-Royce are saying about the Black Badge Ghost that has just been launched at Rs 12.25 crore (with all the optional accessories and equipment). It is important to note that Rolls-Royce will only reveal the actual ex-showroom price tag of the car to customers during the commissioning process, which will vary according to customer’s needs and tastes regarding customization options.

What’s new in the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost?

The Spirit of Ecstasy is finished in black chrome

The Black Badge Ghost receives a Signature Black paint scheme, along with 44,000 more options for you to choose from, and you can even order your own bespoke paint scheme if none of the 44,000 paint schemes suit your tastes. That will certainly remind you of standing in line at a Baskin Robbin’s as a kid, trying to decide which flavour of ice-cream to choose! The Spirit of Ecstasy is now finished in black chrome, and the Black Badge Ghost also comes with 21-inch bespoke composite alloy-wheels as well.

The 6.75-litre V12 sees a bump of 28bhp and 50Nm of torque on the Black Badge Ghost

The Black Badge Ghost retains the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo powertrain from the standard Ghost, but the output figures have been bumped up by a considerable amount — 591bhp at 5250-5500rpm and 900Nm of torque, which is 28bhp and 50Nm more than the standard Ghost. The ZF eight-speed transmission receives bespoke treatment as well. There's also a 'Low' mode on offer which increases the speed of gear shifts by 50 per cent when going at full swing, and it also offers the entire 900Nm of torque from as low as 1700rpm.

Rear seats receive massage function

Step inside and you’ll be greeted by the Mandarin leather upholstered interiors with black bolivar veneer. Certain elements on the interior, including the air-con vents at the dashboard and at the rear of the cabin receive dark treatment via a procedure called physical vapour deposition. The Black Badge motif on the rear armrest, or what Rolls-Royce calls the ‘Waterfall’ section can be had as an option.

We'd be up for this any time — take the hint RR!

Hidden behind the armrest is the champagne cooler — this goes without saying but do not tip your chauffeur with a glass in the middle of a drive! The rear seat also receives a massage function, so you know exactly where you want to be seated. Also on offer is the shooting star starlight headliner, doors with electronic open and close function, picnic tables, lambswool floormats, a head-up display, and driver aids such as cruise control and parking assist among others.

Once again, it is important to note that the Rs 12.25 crore price tag of the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost is not the base ex-showroom price tag, but rather the price of the car with all the bells and whistles. Rolls-Royce will only reveal the prices to customers during the comissioning process.
