MG Comet price and rivals

MG has priced the Comet at Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom) and bookings will start on 15th May. The Comet sits in a class of its own at the moment but can be compared with the likes of the Tata Tiago EV and the eC3 from Citroen. The Tata Tiago EV comes with two battery options –19.2kWh and 24kWh and is priced between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 11.99 lakh. Citroen offers the biggest battery among the three with a capacity of 29.2kWh and a price tag between Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 12.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The Comet is certainly a refreshing take on things and it will be interesting to see how the market responds to it!
