Continuing its good run in 2022, Maruti Suzuki has now launched the XL6 facelift just days after the facelifted Ertiga. With prices starting from Rs 11.29 lakh, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift has to counter threats from rivals like the Kia Carens, and the Mahindra Marazzo. Like the Ertiga facelift, the XL6 too remains mechanically unchanged, but it receives additional equipment over its sibling.

Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift Design

There's three new dual-tone paint schemes and various monotone options as well

The facelifted XL6 retains its familiar overall silhouette, but there are a couple of tweaks to keep it fresh. There’s a new chrome grille at the front, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and smoked tail-lamps at the rear. The B and C-pillars continue to receive gloss black finish. The XL6 now also receives three new dual-tone paint options, namely Splendid Silver, Brave Khaki, and Opulent Red, all with a black roof.

Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift Engine and Transmission

The 1.5-litre nat-asp petrol has been retained

Things remain the same under the hood of the XL6, which carries over the 1.5-litre nat-asp petrol powertrain coupled with a mild hybrid system. However, power and torque figures now stand at 101bhp and 136.8Nm of torque, which is 2bhp and 1.2Nm less than the outgoing model. The biggest change is the six-speed automatic transmission, which replaces the four-speed unit. How much of an improvement will it be over the four-speed transmission is something we’ll have to wait a little to find out. There’s a five-speed manual transmission on offer as well.

Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift Interiors and Equipment

The interiors of the facelifted XL6 remain familiar as well, and it retains a lot of the elements of the outgoing model, such as the flat-botttom steering wheel, the 7-inch touch screen infotainment system, and the overall same layout of the dashboard. However, there are a host of new additions to the equipment list, some of which include ventilated front seats, remote accessibility with over 40 functions via Suzuki Connect, voice commands, Amazon Alexa, hill hold assist, a 360-degree parking camera, reverse parking sensors, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system among others. Maruti Suzuki has also added four airbags — however they’re only in the front row.
