Updated Hero XPulse 200 4V launched at a price tag of Rs 1.44 lakh

The Hero XPulse 200 4V is now E20 fuel and OBD-II compliant as well

Hero has updated its small-size adventure tourer, the XPulse with brighter LED headlights and new ABS modes and is priced at Rs 1.43 lakh for the ‘Base’ variant whereas the ‘Pro’ variant is slightly expensive coming in at Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom). Both the variants get updated tech and ergonomics.

Starting from the front, Hero has updated the windshield, which is now 60mm taller. The models also get updated LED headlamps with DRLs and Hero claims an increase in light intensity by over 230 per cent as compared to the previous model. Also updated for the 2023 year, are the handguards which are now closed loop type and offer more protection. The luggage plate at the end has also been updated and the USB charging port has now been moved to the dashboard. You get three ABS modes now — Road, which is standard and you get default ABS settings. Offroad mode reduces the ABS intervention for better deceleration in off-road conditions and Rally mode which takes the offroad mode a step further. The base variant of the XPulse gets three colour options whereas the pro variant gets only one colour option.

The XPulse rides on 21-inch and 18-inch rims respectively for the front and rear. The seat height for the base variant is 825mm. And the suspension system is the same where you get 190mm of travel in the front and the rear 10-step adjustable monoshock provides 170mm of travel. The Pro variant is more offroad-focused and you get more ground clearance (270mm) as compared to the 220mm of the base variant. This means that there is a bigger seat height of 891mm. Hero has fitted this variant with a fully adjustable front suspension with 250mm travel and the rear gets 220mm travel. The footpegs are also lowered by 35mm and 8mm rear set for both variants.

The bike gets the same 199.6cc oil-cooled, BS6-compliant engine. It produces 18.9bhp and 17.35Nm of torque. The change here is that the engine is now updated to be OBD-II and E20 fuel compliant as well. You get a 5-speed gearbox in the XPulse.

Prices have been slightly increased as you now need to pay Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base XPulse which is Rs 17,000 more expensive than the outgoing model. The Pro model comes at a price tag of Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
