The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), which combines thrilling action and fierce competition, is poised to revolutionize the sport of Supercross in the country. The partnership between the brands and the league, with CEAT serving as the title sponsor and Toyota Hilux serving as the official vehicle partner of ISRL, is a reflection of their shared values of innovation and performance. This revolutionary league, the first franchise-based Supercross Racing League, brings riders from all over the world together to compete in a variety of formats and categories.

A supercross enthusiast will undoubtedly mention how popular the sport became in India in the early 1980s if you ask him. With the holding of the prestigious international motocross race (Rodil Trophy) at Pune in 1984, Supercross first gave the nation an ‘international flavour.’ More than 20,000 enthusiasts attended this event, which was a staggering turnout given that this was a sport other than football or cricket. However, the sport was unable to maintain its impact thanks to the changing times, which briefly left motorsports fans feeling let down. The organizers of the CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League hope that with the launch of this league, these fans will be able to relive the thrills of the past.

Announced in 2018, it took Supercross India Pvt. Ltd. five long years to map out what they refer to as the biggest Supercross league in the world. At an event held in Delhi, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, in the presence of other dignitaries, launched the logo and presented the event with a green flag.

The inaugural season will kick off at New Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in October 2023. Exciting events will then take place in the cricket and football stadiums of metropolises like Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad. From October to December 2023, fans in these cities will witness the breathtaking demonstrations of skills, risky stunts, and high-speed action that will redefine Supercross racing in India.

Mr Akbar Ibrahim, President of the FMSCI, commented, “The federation is overwhelmed with the thought process and the initiative undertaken by the SXI team in elevating the motorsport culture in the country. This initiative will not only bring global talent to the country but also provide a platform to nurture young talent and position India on the global map of the sport.”
