BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition launched

The Iconic Edition of the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine comes in the Luxury Line trim and asks for Rs 1 lakh premium

BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition has been launched in India at Rs 53.50 lakh for the 330Li, petrol variant and Rs 54.90 lakh for the 320Ld, diesel variant. The Iconic Edition is a limited run stock and packs a few premium features over the standard variant. The internals, engines and design remain the same as the previous release. It is based on the LWB version of the BMW 3 Series which adds 110mm of length to the wheelbase of Bavaria’s smallest sedan.

On the exterior, the Iconic Edition of the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine gets an illuminated kidney grille, which makes it look pretty cool. And in the interior, the Iconic Edition brings in an all-new crystal gear shift knob that makes the already fancy cabin a little fancier. On the rear, the car gets a headrest cushion for maximum comfort of the rear seat passengers along with a coat hanger with a base carrier. Other than these tidbits the car remains identical to the standard Luxury Line trim and gets the Vernasca leather upholstery along with more premium functionalities — the electrically adjustable seats, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, three-zone automatic climate control and interiors optimised for noise reduction.

The 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition is available in three exterior colours — Mineral White, Carbon Black and Cashmere Silver. And the interior upholstery is available in Cognac | Black colours.

BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition engine

The Iconic Edition gets the same powertrain as the standard Luxury Line with the two engine options — a two-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 254bhp and 400Nm of torque, and a two-litre turbo-diesel which produces 187bhp and 400Nm of torque. The petrol variant does the 0-100kmph sprint 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 250kmph, whereas the diesel variant does the 0-100kmph in 7.6 seconds and has a top speed of 235kmph. Both the engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition asks for Rs one lakh premium for the petrol and diesel variants. The 3 Series Gran Limousine in the luxury sports car segment goes against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class L, which is Rs 10 lakh more expensive than the BMW.
