If you’re a fan of Aprilia, you certainly have been itching for its superbikes to make their way to India. Today, this dream becomes a reality. Piaggio India has launched the Aprilia superbike lineup in India, which consists of four motorcycles, starting from the Tuono 660 which is priced at Rs 13.09 lakh (ex-showroom), followed by the RS 660 priced at Rs 13.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tuono V4 Factory and RSV4 Factory are priced at Rs 20.66 lakh and Rs 23.69 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660

The Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 are both powered by a 659cc parallel-twin engine, but they differ in their state of tune. The Aprilia RS 660 produces 98.5bhp at 10,500rpm and 67Nm of torque at 8500rpm, while weighing 183kg. The RS 660 bears resemblance to the bigger RSV4 Factory with its fully-faired body and similar paint options. The Aprilia Tuono 660 follows the naked route, but still receives some amount of fairing while leaving the engine and frame exposed. The Aprilia Tuono 660 produces slightly less power than the RS 660. It produces 93.6bhp at 10,500rpm while torque figures stand at 67Nm at 8500rpm.

Both bikes also get Brembo discs with a 320mm four-piston caliper up front, and a 220mm two-piston caliper at the rear. There is also a lot of kit on offer which is shared across both bikes, such as multimap ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine braking, engine mapping, cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle, and five riding modes. However, the RS 660 gets the added advantage of an adjustable front suspension as well.

Aprilia RSV4 Factory

The Aprilia RSV4 now receives a bump in power from the bigger 1099cc engine

The Aprilia RSV4 Factory makes its way to India, and gets a bigger 1099cc parallel-twin engine producing a mammoth 213bhp at 13,000rpm and 125Nm of torque at 10,500rpm. The RSV4 weighs 202kg, while suspension duties are performed by semi-active Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension with Ohlins 43mm NIX forks at the front and a Ohlins TTX monoshock at the rear. The suspension gets 125mm travel on the front and 115mm on the rear. Braking duties are taken care of by 330mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers up front, while the rear gets 220mm disc with Brembo caliper.

Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory

The Tuono V4 follows the naked-superbike design language with minimal amount of fairing

The Tuono V4 Factory retains the 1077cc parallel-twin engine as the outgoing model, which produces 172.5bhp at 11350rpm and 127Nm of torque at 11000rpm. Much like the RSV4, the Tuono V4 also gets the Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension setup with 43mm Ohlins NIX forks up front, while the rear gets an Ohlins TTX monoshock. The wheel travel is 120mm at the front and 117mm at the rear. The Tuono V4 Factory also received Brembo monoblocs but unlike the RSV4 , it gets M50 monobloc calipers up front, and a 220mm floating caliper at the rear.
