The new Dacia Duster is based on the CMF-B platform, which also underpins the Dacia Jogger and the Sandero. The Duster features the automaker's most recent styling language, resembling a smaller version of the Bigster concept that was showcased in 2021. The bodywork is covered in a generous amount of plastic cladding made of a new material called Starkle (20 per cent reused polypropylene), while the pronounced fenders, boxy wheel arches, and oversized skid plates round out the off-roader look. Furthermore, the slimmer and more modernised lighting units incorporate Y-shaped LEDs, which are a trademark of Dacia. Moreover, the Duster has a ground clearance of 217mm, a 31-degree approach angle, a 24-degree breakover angle, and a 36-degree departure angle. It also offers a boot space of 472 litres.

In its 2024 avatar, the Duster has three new engine options. It has a 1-litre bi-fuel engine, a 1.2-litre mild hybrid engine, and a 1.6-litre fully hybrid engine to choose from. The 1-litre 3-cylinder engine can run on LPG or gasoline. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine gets a 48V mild-hybrid system. The 1.6-litre engine produces 93bhp and is mated to a 47bhp electric motor powered by a 1.2kWh battery pack. The 1.6-litre and 1.2-litre engines are available with optional 4x4 drivetrains, whereas the 1-litre engine is only available with FWD.
