Porsche isn’t known for radical aesthetic changes. They prefer to turn their attention to the bits under the bonnet. The Taycan’s bits don’t go vroom, but they’ve been tinkered with to offer a significant upgrade to what was already the benchmark for performance EVs. Here’s what the new Porsche Taycan is working with.

2025 Porsche Taycan exterior and chassis

The 2025 Porsche Taycan is mostly unchanged on the outside. Subtle changes include new front wings, new headlamps and taillamps featuring an illuminated Porsche logo. The Turbo and Turbo S models get the new Turbonite accent colour in the exterior and interior to set them apart from the base variants. The new Taycan is up to 15kg lighter than before, in spite of the larger capacity battery and more standard equipment on offer. All variants of the new Taycan now get adaptive air suspension as standard.

2025 Porsche Taycan powertrain

The 2025 Porsche Taycan produces between 80bhp and 187bhp over the outgoing model depending on variant. Maximum range is also up to a claimed 678km, which is a 35 per cent (175km) increase over the outgoing model. Charging times have also been reduced. Charging from 10 to 80 per cent at 15 degrees Celsius takes just 18 minutes, which is less than half the time on the outgoing model (37 minutes). The battery can also be charged at up to 320kW, which is 50kW more than on the outgoing model. The Performance Plus battery now has a 105kWh capacity over the previous 93kWh.

The 2025 Porsche Taycan gets an updated user interface

2025 Porsche Taycan interior and features

The 2025 Porsche Taycan gets an updated user interface with added functions in the instrument cluster, centre display, and passenger display. The steering wheel now gets a mode switch as standard. Models equipped with the Sport Chrono package and Performance Battery Plus also get a push-to-pass button on the mode switch. Also on offer is a new in-car video function. Other standard features include parking assist with a reversing camera, electrically folding outboard mirrors with mirror surround lighting, heated front seats, and a smartphone tray for wireless charging.

2025 Porsche Taycan prices

Prices or launch dates for the 2025 Porsche Taycan have not been announced yet. However, it is likely to come to India as the current Taycan is already sold here. Upon launch, it will go up against the Audi e-tron GT which is priced at Rs 1.80 crore ex-showroom.
