Everything you need to know about the XUV700 AX7’s Luxury Pack

Along with the announcement of the Mahindra XUV700’s prices came further information about the Luxury Pack available on the AX7 variant, which adds 360-degree cameras and 7 airbags

Mahindra has shown the full variant list and prices for the XUV700. Prices start at Rs 11.99 lakh for the base petrol MX variant, going all the way up to Rs 19.79 lakh for the AX7 diesel with an automatic transmission. However, on top of that price tag, you can add in an all-wheel-drive system or a Luxury Pack. Now while the former is rather self-explanatory, there are a fair few additions that the Luxury Pack brings. We’ve listed out exactly what you get for the additional Rs 1.87 lakh that the Luxury Pack commands.

XUV700 AX7 Luxury Pack features

As we have mentioned earlier, the Luxury Pack is exclusively available as an add-on for the AX7 automatic variants. The ‘AX7L’ gets a handful of features over and above the goodies already seen on the AX7. The Luxury Pack adds wireless charging, blind-spot monitoring, 360-degree camera, passive keyless entry, Sony 3D sound system and an electronic parking brake to the list. It also gets seven airbags, while the standard AX7 has six.

XUV700 AX7L standard features

First things first, the highlight of the features list is the Level 1 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System) that hosts many features to aid the driver like the ADAS Cruise control, ADAS High Beam Assist feature, and the ADAS Traffic Signs Recognition. On the inside, the XUV700 gets many features for creature comfort starting with the HVAC, an air purifier, keyless entry and push-button start-stop feature. The driver’s seat is 6-way electronically adjustable with driver-specific adjustment memory. For information display, the XUV700 has a 10.25-inch digital cluster to give feedback to the driver, and for passenger’s entertainment, there is a dual HD 10.25-inch infotainment system with smartphone integration via wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is also the AdrenoX Connect App that unlocks features like geo-tracking, lock and unlock the car remotely, and can adjust cabin temperature beforehand.

XUV700 AX7L engine

The Luxury Pack equipped AX7L has Mahindra’s 2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine on offer mated to the 6-speed automatic transmission. The turbo-petrol engine produces 197bhp at 5000rpm and 380Nm at 1750-3000rpm. The turbo-diesel on the other hand produces slightly lower 182bhp at 3500rpm and 450Nm 1750-2800rpm. The Luxury Pack is not available with the AWD option and there will be a slight price difference with the diesel engine with automatic transmission costing Rs 60,000 more.

With the 7-seater market picking up the pace in the Indian market, the XUV700 with its bells and whistles surely will attract customers with a wide spectrum of needs, even the ones who are looking for a class above.
