Ultraviolette is a manufacturer that we can’t wait enough for, with their F77 prototype electric motorcycle promising wild specifications and made for a global audience. Now, it has expanded on that accomplished base to create the Ultraviolette F99, a factory racing version that has our jaw dropped to the floor. Having been established in 2016, the company has come a long way with research and development into methods of building its own motors, batteries, control technology and other electronics that hope to make this one of the most sophisticated electric vehicles in the world when it is released, all from India!
The Ultraviolette F99 Factory Racing Platform, as it is officially named, is breathtakingly powerful, with motors that produce 65bhp. This helps to propel the bike to a top speed of 200kmph, which is huge for an electric motorcycle. Ultraviolette says it has used technology used in both motorsport and aviation to create the aerodynamic surfaces of the F99 Factory Racing Platform. As of now, no further details are available but rest assured this bike could probably handle a race track like butter on toast.
On the unveil, Narayan Subramaniam, the Co-founder and CEO of Ultraviolette, said, “The world of racing is extremely challenging as it forces the vehicle to be pushed beyond its limit, and this is what leads to innovation. The F99 Factory Racing Platform led us to think beyond conventional technologies in the EV space today. We are confident that the innovation emerging from the F99 Factory Racing Platform will make its way to the public in the future. By combining aviation and racing principles, we intend to bring the most advanced electric vehicles to the world.”
The Ultraviolette F77 was already launched last year, and you can check out our initial look at it down below. Aimed for global markets but with a ‘made in India’ tag attached to it, the final product is sure to bring some pride to us all.
