Hero Motocorp unveils Vida Z, Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R and Karizma XMR 250 at EICMA 2024

Starting with the international launch of the Vida Z, Hero Motocorp is also planning to expand operations in Europe and the UK

Hero Motocorp unveiled a total of four products at EICMA 2024 – namely the Vida Z e-scooter, the Xpulse 210, the Xtreme 250R and the Karizma XMR 250 motorcycles. This is in-line with Hero’s goal to expand its commercial operations in Europe and the UK from the second half of 2025. Here’s what you need to know about the products.

The VIda Z gets a removable battery

The Vida Z is an e-scooter designed by Hero to cater to a global audience.It is essentially a rebadged V1 Pro and it features a removable battery along with multiple modes of charging, along with a suite of connectivity and safety features via the My Vida App. The e-scooter will be powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), with the modular architecture being able to accommodate a range of battery capacities starting from 2.2 kWh and going up to 4.4 kWh. You will also be able to track your vehicle health, theft/movement detection, geofencing and be able to receive OTA updates for the Vida Z.

The Hero Xpulse now gets more power with the Xpulse 210

Hero’s adventure-focused motorcycle, the Xpulse, gets an update in the form of the Xpulse 210. The Xpulse is now more powerful, with the 210cc DOHC liquid cooled engine producing 24.5bhp of power and 20.4Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. In terms of suspension, you get a 210mm front and a 205mm rear suspension along with switchable ABS modes. Ground clearance is high at 220mm, and the Xpulse 210 also gets a 4.2-inch TFT speedometer.

The Xtreme 250R produces 29bhp of power

Coming to the sporty end of things, Hero unveiled the Xtreme 250R at EICMA 2024. Powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine with a 4-valve system, the Xtreme 250R puts out 29bhp of power and 25Nm of torque. The motorcycle is based on a trellis frame and gets USD front suspension along with a 6-step adjustable rear monoshock. Hero has also given the Xtreme 250R radial tyres with a claimed 50-50 weight balance. In terms of tech, you get switchable ABS modes, an LED projector headlight with DRLs, as well as a lap timer and drag timer, in addition to features such as turn-by-turn navigation.

The Karizma XMR 250 is the faired sibling of the Xtreme 250R

The Karizma XMR 250 is essentially the faired sibling of the Xtreme 250 and it shares the same 250cc engine, making the same outputs – 29bhp and 25Nm. The Karizma however gets a more aggressive stance and racing-inspired winglets, along with height adjustable clip-on handlebars. Handling suspension duties is a USD front suspension and a 6-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. You get switchable ABS modes, a lap / drag timer and a multi-projector LED headlight with DRLs on the Karizma XMR 250. 

Prices for none of these products have been revealed yet, but you can expect them to be launched in India over the course of early next year.
