The TVS Racing and Petronas partnership is already bearing fruit for the Indian manufacturer, and how! The TVS factory racing team bagged double wins in both the Pro Stock categories, with Jagan Kumar returning from injury and K Y Ahmad both scoring wins in their categories.

In the Pro Stock 301-400cc category, Petronas TVS Racing finally managed to edge out Rajini Krishnan in Race 1, with an emphatic 1-2 finish headed by K Y Ahmad and Deepak Ravikumar. In Race 2 however, Krishnan was back on form and dominated for his fifth win this year over the Petronas TVS riders. Krishnan now chases his 11th National title with a 51 point lead over Ravikumar in the championship.

The Pro Stock 165cc Open category saw Rajiv Sethu win Race 1 after a tough battle with the TVS Racing riders, but in race 2, there was no stopping them, as Jagan Kumar won after having returned from injuries earlier in the season.

Speaking about the races, Vimal Sumbly, the Head of Business at TVS Motor Company said, “It is a proud moment for us to get top podium finishes in both, Pro stock 165 cc category and the Pro stock 300-410 cc category during the third round of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) 2022. I congratulate our riders for this feat, especially Jagan Kumar who has made a strong comeback and is still on his road to recovery.”

The wins are a huge boost for the partnership as Petronas TVS Racing aims to become the dominant force in the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship, and maybe even go beyond.
