The seventh round of the FIA F2 Championship was held at the Silverstone Circuit in England, where Indian racer Jehan Darvuala ended the weekend with a double-points finish. He ended up securing eighth and seventh positions at the sprint and feature race respectively.

The Indian racer secured 8th position in the Sprint race on Saturday. He started from pole position in wet weather conditions. However, he struggled for grip due to the car being setup for mixed conditions. His Norwegian team-mate Dennis Hauger, too had a similar experience and ended up finishing fifteenth.

On Sunday's Feature race, Daruvala switched to harder tyres, played the long game in the first stint and then switched to softer compound tyres. He was in the lead for a brief moment before his pitstop, but by the end of the race, he secured the seventh position.

Jehan said, “This wasn’t our weekend but that’s motor racing sometimes. While I’m naturally disappointed, there are still positives that we can take away. The next race at the Red Bull Ring is only a week away. It’s a home race for us Red Bull juniors. We’ve shown both pace and consistency over the course of this season and I’m confident we can bounce back next weekend in Austria.”

Jehan Daruvala currently stands at fourth position with a total of 80 points, just eight points behind Logan Sargeant’s 88. The next race is scheduled for July 9 at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. Stay tuned for more such motorsport updates and follow our social media handles for more!
