Badal Doshi triumphs at 2019 INRSC and INRC (2W)

Veteran rally rider Badal Doshi wins the Foreign and Scooter class of the 2019 Indian National Rally Sprint Championship at the third round in Coimbatore

Badal Doshi dominates the Foreign class on his KTM 500

Mumbai-based veteran rally pilot Badal Doshi has been rallying motorcycles since 1993 now. The 42-year-young rider has participated in more than 180 events and has more than 150 wins to his name. Doshi is also a multi-skilled rider and has participate in almost every form of motorcycle racing there is, from Motocross to hill climbs to national rallies.

This year at the third round of the 2019 Indian National Rally Championship in Nashik, Doshi was piloting a KTM 500 EXC-F in the 1A-Expert class. Doshi charged ahead scoring a surprise win against defending champion Jatin Jain who had won the same class in the previous season. Jatin finished in second place with Yuvraj Patil in third aboard Triumph Tiger.

Badal Doshi continued his winning streak at the third round of the Indian National Rally ‘Sprint’ Championship in Coimbatore, winning the Foreign class and also the scooter class. He managed to clock the fastest time of 6.12 minutes in the days stage, almost 10 seconds quicker than South Indian riders such as Vishwas SD and Venu Ramesh Kumar. In the scooter class, it was Joseph Jinu who finished first while Doshi took second place. After his win at the third round, Doshi is leading the INRSC 2019 points table in the Foreign class.

The wins did not stop there as he also dominated his class in the four-stage Coimbatore round of the MRF MOGRIP Indian National Rally Championship for 2-wheelers where TVS Racing’s Imran Pasha was placed first overall and also won the Class 4. Badal Doshi who won the Class 1A (Foreign class) finished sixth overall.
