The competitive C-Segment market in the country is about to witness a shake up, as Toyota enters with its new player, the Yaris. It will not be easy for the car as it has formidable rivals in the segment like the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. But the latest entrant in this segment, Yaris has some aces up its sleeve. Safety is given utmost importance, as all variants get 7 airbags as standard! Toyota is also offering CVT option for all four variants. Though, for now, the Yaris comes only with a 1.5-litre petrol engine plonked under its hood, which makes 105.6bhp and 140Nm of peak twist and the engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT. Toyota ahas claimed a fuel efficiency of 17.8kmpl for the CVT and 17.1kmpl for the manual transmission.
