You will be able to buy a ToyotaSuzuki car in the future, as both car makers have reached an agreement concerning sharing of models and development of vehicles together.  Both companies will supply hybrid and other vehicle platforms to each other which will be developed for the Indian market in the near future. Suzuki will be supplying its Baleno and Vitara models to Toyota, while Toyota will supply Corollas to Suzuki which will be sold by their independent dealer networks under respective brand names.

Toyota and Suzuki signed  their MoUs for business development in February last year which focused on  various areas like safety, environmental technology, information technology and the mutual supply of product and components.  On November 2017, they took their partnership to the next level by agreeing to jointly produce electric vehicles for the Indian market. Both companies will rely on localisation to  keep costs at a minimum, while also supporting the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
